González: "Everything has changed"
The coach describes the game against Celta Vigo
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Manolo González praised RCD Espanyol's tremendous work, effort, and concentration at Balaídos in their victory over Celta Vigo.
The coach emphasised "the quality of the opponents," stressing that "the team had a very serious game. I'm very proud of the players. Everything has changed. The team have improved defensively compared to the first half of the season, and we have to build on that solidity. We have more confidence, and the players are more daring."
He also highlighted that "the group are very strong, and now we go to any ground with the mentality of wanting to win. Our fans have been there for us in difficult times, and what they've done for me is priceless. Many people thought they were going to bury us, but we're very much alive, and we're going to give our all for Espanyol until the very end."
Finally, regarding Javi Puado's fifth yellow card, he stated that "we have to be positive. It's not good to be without him against Getafe, but at least we'll have him in the games we have left."
