García Pont announces his resignation as the Club's Vice President
The Blue and White Vice President has informed President Chen Yansheng that he is resigning from his duties on the Board of Directors
This Monday, Carlos García Pont told the Blue and Whites' president, Chen Yansheng that he had decided to resign from the club's Vice Presidency, a move which means he also ceases his role as a club advisor.
Carlos García Pont, professor at the IESE Business School, joined the entity's Board of Directors as Vice President on January 20, 2016. In December 2018, he joined the Board of Directors of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). In his time as Vice President, García Pont has also served as the club's official representative in official first-team matches, grass-roots and women's football and in various public events.
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona wants to thank him for his selfless dedication over this time and wishes him all the best in his personal and professional future.
We attach the farewell letter from Carlos García Pont:
“For the last four years and right up until today, July 20, I have had the honour and pleasure of serving RCD Espanyol de Barcelona as Vice President. This period of time has allowed me to better get to know those who give the club life, both those who work at the club and of course all the dedicated fans. They're the reason that I consider these four years of service to have been a privilege. From today, I'll be just another guy, like I was before joining the RCD Espanyol Board of Directors.
I wish the Rastar Group and the club's management all the very best so that we can return to where to deserve to be.
Visca l'Espanyol!
