García: "I know I can still improve further"

The goalkeeper is presented with his prize for LaLiga's Save of the Month

This Monday, Joan García received the trophy for LaLiga's Save of the Month for February.

The RCD Espanyol goalkeeper recalled that, when making the stop against Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena, "everything happened very quickly."

"The opposition player got in front of me and I held on as long as I could. I stuck my foot out, the ball went there, and I was able to make the save. It was a bit of everything: Intuition and trying to read where the ball would go."

Returning to work this morning after a few "much-needed" days of rest, he emphasised that the squad have been "really looking forward to the next game and hoping everything goes well. We've had a few very intense weeks, with very important matches. We've been able to recharge, and now we're eager to play again."

In addition to being confident of another victory at the RCDE Stadium, he emphasised that "I'm feeling better and better. There's a difference between the Joan García from the beginning of the season and the one now. I'm very happy, but I know I can still improve further, and I'm working towards that."
