Extinction of Ramon Robert's professional relationship with the club
The Board of Directors of the RCD Espanyol de Barcelona has decided to terminate the professional relationship as a director and top executive in the corporate sphere of Ramon Robert i Estella. The club thanks Ramon Robert for his professional effort and dedication and wishes him the best future both privately and in his professional career.
Ramon Robert has been present in the management and representation structuires of the club since his arrival as a member of the Board of Directors in November 2012. Thereafter, he has developed professional tasks as director of Management Control and, in this last stage, as CEO and Corporate General Director.
The Board of Directors informs that it has no plans to appoint, for the time being, any new member of the highest governing as a director to replace Ramon Robert, nor will it be relieved of the responsibility of Chief Executive Officer. The club will undertake the election of a new Corporate General Manager, which is expected to be named and presented publicly during the month of February.
The functions that the current Director and Corporate General Manager has been developing will be assumed, according to their different nature, by the Executive Committee of the Board and/or by the executive members of the Management Committee of the entity. The Board of Directors is convinced that this series of changes will reinforce and consolidate the achievement of the objectives set by President Chen Yansheng.
