"Europe is an incentive"
Rufete ensures that the sports management works to make the best possible insole
The director of professional football of the RCD Espanyol of Barcelona, Francisco Joaquín Pérez Rufete, has recognized that the fact to participate in Europe this season supposes an incentive of face to incorporate new footballers and has added that the sport direction works to make the best possible squad.
"Europe is an incentive. You can't always be in a club to play in Europe. There have been many important players who have been linked to the club and there will be more because we are in Europe", said Rufete. The director of professional football has commented that the objective is to give "the best tools" to the coach: "We have to spin very fine. We'd like to go much faster, but our aim is to do our best to make them proud of our work and be consistent”.
Rufete has praised the attitude of both Mario Hermoso and Borja Iglesias, protagonists of many rumours this summer. "In the conversations we have had, they have shown professionalism and commitment, but the market cannot be ignored. Our job is to defend the interests of the club. We are not doing anything that our people do not want.
