Escola RCDE - One of the teams playing in 2019 Espanyol & Sangao League Cup

China Football Development Foundation 2019 Espanyol & Sangao League Cup International Children Football Tournament has started from 6th of August to 11th in Thaiwoo Ski Resort, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China. 16 teams - including Escola RCDE - with over 300 Under-12 players from Spain, China and South Korea participate in the tournament.

Albert Villarroya, Director of Escola RCDE and Senon Chen, Director of RCDE Asia Office both attended the opening ceremony as Villarroya gave a speech to introduce RCDE and its famous youth football development system to all honourable guests. What's more, he encouraged all players to first respect every opponent before showing their skills on the pitch.

Playing in the competition representing RCD Espanyol is Escola RCDE. Although it is not one of the teams from RCDE's youth academy, it serves a social responsibility that all kids are welcomed to football. Since its beginning from 2002, Escola RCDE breathes a great atmosphere, focusing on aspects such as punctuality, sportsmanship, respect for the referees and the opponents.

In addition to Escola RCDE, RCDE Academy Hunan is also one of the participants. Interestingly enough, both teams are drawn in the same group, meaning that RCDE kids from Spain and China will face each other in a competitive but respectful way. Remaining teams include China Super League's Beijing Guoan's U12 team, Shandong Luneng U12 team, South Korea's Gimpo FC and Gimpo Citizens FC and other Chinese representatives.

Earlier this week, Wu Lei, Javi Lopez, Eloy Perez and also Albert Saus all send their wishes for the tournament and congratulate all the kids on having the opportunity to play games on such a platform.
