Dimata, new Espanyol player
The Belgian forward will strengthen the team until the end of the season
Footballer Nany Landry Dimata (Mbuji-Mayi (DR Congo), 1-9-1997) has become RCD Espanyol's latest addition after an agreement was reached between himself, Anderlecht and the Blue and Whites. Dimata, who is originally from the DRC, but now has Belgian nationality, arrives on loan from the Belgian club until the end of the season when there will be an option for a full purchase.
Despite his youth, Dimata has experience in top-level European football. The new Blue and White striker has played for Standard Liege, KV Oostende and VfL Wolfsburg. As an international for Belgium in lower categories (19 goals in 33 games), in the 2018-2019 season he scored 13 goals in the Belgian first division.
The Belgian footballer has passed his relevant medical examinations and will be presented as a new RCD Espanyol player this Tuesday at a telematic press conference.
Welcome, #DimataPerico!
