Beneficial stay in Indonesia
RCD Espanyol continues to grow in this strategic market
For the second year running, a delegation from RCD Espanyol de Barcelona travelled to Indonesia, one of the Club's strategic markets, in order to increase its presence in the Asian country and strengthen the ties created throughout history.
As well as the visit of Club representatives, the under-15s “Cadete B” team participated in the Asiana Cup, under the guidance of coach Sergio Espejo. The young pericos finished joint-first after beating teams from Vietnam, Malaysia and South Korea. The matches took place at the GBK national stadium, a great learning experience for the team, who have been able to enjoy a great experience that goes beyond the pitch.
During the stay in Indonesia, interviews were held with the country's main media outlets, as well as press conferences to highlight the Club's strategic plan there. Joan Capdevila, the Club’s sporting institutional relations representative & world and European champion with the Spanish national team, was responsible for attending press activities and holding interviews, serving as one of the Club’s standout visitors during his stay.
On this trip, RCD Espanyol, pioneer and founder Club and of LALIGA, has demonstrated the significance of Indonesia as its strategic market and strengthened the relationship with a country who is further falling in love with football.
