From this Saturday, the first team will wear Riviera Maya on the front of the shirt
The RCD Espanyol has presented on Thursday at the President Room the official launching of the first team with the sponsorship of Riviera Maya. The club will wear from this Saturday Riviera Maya on the front of the game shirt. This agreement will be extended during the next five years.
"We want to thank the governor of Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquín, and send him a message of thanks from our president Chen Yansheng and RCD Espanyol. It is an honour to share this project with Riviera Maya and to help tourism growth. We make public the most important asset of the club: the first team jersey. Our recognition to Darío Flota for having promoted this agreement. RCD Espanyol makes all our management available to the state of Quintana Roo. Welcome to Espanyol’s shirt, to the best league in the world, to our stadium. It is a very satisfactory agreement and opens avenues for the future", he said. Darío Flota said that it is a "pleasure" to continue with this agreement. "We are sure that the alliance will contribute to achieve the goals of both and we will surely find new ways of collaboration", he remarked.
The Governor of Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquín, has said that "we wanted to bet on this relationship that was not in the dimension that we wanted it to be. This agreement means the consolidation of the spirit of collaboration between two peoples and we wish that Espanyol and the destinations of Quintana Roo have many successes”, he said.
Flota recalled that the new agreement is for five more years and that it explores "more channels of communication such as the training of players in our state. We will explore other paths that may mean opportunities for players”.
