Manolo González is focused on delivering the three points away to Burgos CF

Manolo González is looking forward to Friday night’s trip to Burgos CF as the team go for another away victory.

RCD Espanyol travel to El Plantío in Castile-Leon in search of the three points on the road, having won away last time against Real Zaragoza. The aim is always to go for the win, which the head coach reiterated in his press conference on Thursday.

González said, “It is an enticing but difficult game, they are a team who play to their strengths and are competing well in a very good season. We have to go for it from the first minute, with the knife between our teeth. If it’s cold, that’s better as we’ll have to run more. We have to try to show personality and be brave on the pitch”.

Espanyol enter the first of the final 10 games of the season with a difficult ground to go to, but with good momentum in González’s first two games.

The coach continued, “I have felt very loved and valued from day one. I have been fortunate to meet great professionals who are helping me a lot to make this work. We all have to push so that every day we become a better Club”.
