“It’s an important victory”
Vicente Moreno recalls the difficulty of winning matches in the division, and added that he is very satisfied with the victory
RCD Espanyol earned an important victory in a close encounter versus CE Sabadell. The whites and blues coach, Vicente Moreno, stated that he knew it was going to be a “complicated” match and added that “when the scoreline is fair, the opposing team has chances to win or draw.” In this sense, he insisted that “it is a very important victory.” We know how difficult it is to win a match in the second division. Sabadell were on a two-month roll without losing, and they’re a complicated team, but we were up to the challenge, and we beat them. We have to consider this as an important win.”
Vicente stated that “we started the match well by creating scoring opportunities, but we got rattled by the disallowed goal. We were a little upset by seeing how they could create chances to penetrate our defence. Then, in the second half, we were unable to finish off the match after the goal. The victory deserves a lot of merit because we knew how difficult it was going to be, and we won the match. It’s a very important victory and we’re really satisfied.”
