VIP experiences enjoy success
The RCDE Stadium offers a new way to experience football
A football match is much more than a sporting event in which two teams face each other. RCD Espanyol offer a wide range of options to football fans so that they can experience games from a more exclusive position. As football fans look for that something extra, they can access an experience that brings them closer to the action and allows them to discover unique, differential experiences and situations that represent added value.
RCD Espanyol have been working for some time to ensure that fans can enjoy this exclusive experience and have made a clear commitment to offering a better quality of service. This past season, experiences were carried out in 24 games (all except Matchday 1, which was held behind closed doors) and 641 attendees participated. The objective was to become a preferred option within Barcelona's sports and leisure offerings and generate complementary income for the club.
As the season progressed and the excitement around the first team grew, more Pericos and neutrals were encouraged to take in these experiences. There were three sold out Meet&Greet experiences, and against Real Sporting de Gijón all places for the Tunnel&Pitch experience were also sold.
The Tunnel&Pitch and Meet&Greet Experience VIP experiences allow fans to greet the players upon their arrival at the RCDE Stadium, observe the warmup on the pitch, follow them out at the start of the match and even meet them in the post-match mixed zone event. In addition, they offer exclusive access to areas of the stadium, transforming a 90-minute game into a comprehensive three-hour day.
Aside from the great reception that VIP experiences had in the 2023/24 season, another relevant aspect -and one of obvious improvement- has been the expansion of the VIP box options. Numbers available rose from 566 seats in 44 boxes to 839 distributed in 60 boxes. The 16 new boxes have a capacity of 14 to 30 seats; The 3 30-seat boxes are interconnected, allowing the creation of a spacious and multifunctional space, not only on matchdays but also to host any type of corporate event on other dates. The incorporation of the new boxes means new VIP options in the middle ring: Corporate Prat (4 boxes, 56 seats) and Corporate Tribuna (12 boxes, 217 seats). A historic event took place against Real Oviedo, as there was an unprecedented sell out of all the VIP boxes.
