RCD Espanyol strengthen ties with Indonesia
The club receive a visit from the country's Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy
This Tuesday, RCD Espanyol received a visit from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, at the Stage Front Stadium. He was greeted by the club's deputy general manager, Toni Alegre.
Sandiaga Salahudin Uno showed great interest in learning more about both RCD Espanyol and the activities that the club carries out with and for all Indonesians. During his visit, the first and most recent matches that the RCD Espanyol first team played in Indonesia, in 1979 and 2017, were remembered.
The minister had the opportunity to learn first-hand about Espanyol's project in Indonesia, as well as visit the stadium that is a prospective venue for the 2030 World Cup.
There was also a chance to learn about the success of Espanyol's grassroots football system, and the number of youth players who have managed to succeed in the first team -including Jordi Amat, captain of the Indonesia national team and trained at RCD Espanyol, and Arthur Irawan from RCD Espanyol's formative ranks.
