RCD Espanyol present at Bay Area Festival in Guangzhou
The club are guests of honour at the event
From November 15-18th, RCD Espanyol were the guest of honour at the Bay Area Festival in Guangzhou, a Chinese city with more than 25 million inhabitants and an epicentre for football in Asia.
This event, organised by the Guangzhou Football Federation, brought together players, coaches and media from Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau, with a central theme of the exchange of knowledge in youth football.
Considered one of the best academies in Europe, La21 was the main topic of interest for more than 60 coaches and local media who attended the event. The recent international victories by the club's youth teams consolidate its global reputation, as highlighted by the organisers.
Albert Saus, head of Espanyol's training programs, and coach Juan Giraldo, shared details of the successful 'LA21' method' which sparked great interest in local media, who detailed the club's ability to train talent and export their model internationally.
Participation in the Bay Area Festival is part of RCD Espanyol's strategy to consolidate a presence in a key market.
