RCD Espanyol play out 0-0 draw with Las Palmas

The second preseason friendly ends in a stalemate

RCD Espanyol and UD Las Palmas played out a goalless draw in Los Pericos' second game of the 2022/23 preseason. Once again, Diego Martinez' men showed a very high intensity throughout the 90 minutes, against opponents who held back, hoping to find a gap through which to hit on the break.

Despite the dominance by RCD Espanyol the game was close and the two sides well-disciplined in their strategies, leading to an absence of great chances.

Melamed had the first opportunity shortly after kickoff, and new signing Joselu headed over at the beginning of the second half, but otherwise there was little in the way of opportunities, as Las Palmas disrupted the attacks.

RCD Espanyol will remain in Marbella for the remainder of their preseason training camp, before returning to Barcelona.
