Puado becomes all-time top scorer at RCDE Stadium
The striker has 28 goals at the ground
Javi Puado had one of his best performances of his career against Deportivo Alavés. The RCD Espanyol player scored a perfect hat trick with his right foot, left foot and head, leading his team to a second win of the season.
The trio of goals also made him the top scorer in the history of the RCDE Stadium, with 28. The striker surpassed Sergio García and Raúl de Tomás in the all-time standings.
He began his scoring run on October 21st, 2020, against CD Mirandés. His first goals in the Primera División came a season later with a double against UD Levante. However, his most famous afternoon was on June 23rd of this year, when he scored the two goals that helped the team return to the top flight.
This past weekend's hat trick was his first in the Primera División, although he had scored another in the Segunda División against UD Las Palmas (April 24th, 2021).
It had been 12 years since an RCD Espanyol player had scored a hat trick in LaLiga: Kalu Uche against Rayo Vallecano.
