Raquel Cabezón, new head of Real Club Deportivo Español for Women
The Real Club Deportivo Espanyol of Barcelona has appointed today Raquel Cabezón Muñoz (Barcelona, 1978) as the new responsible of the women's soccer of the entity Perica.
Raquel Cabezón, with a long trajectory and a wide knowledge of the white-blue club as a player, returns to the entity joining her new responsibility as of today.
The new head of women's soccer will lead the entire section, including under her coordination the first team, which competes in the First Iberdrola, and all the bases of women's soccer.
Raquel Cabezón defended the white-blue shirt for 12 seasons, between 1994 and 2007. She wore the captain's armband and won two Queen's Cups and a league title, while also appearing on the international scene between 1998 and 2007. With this record and career, the former player has established herself as a historical figure within the Real Club Deportivo Espanyol of Barcelona and women's football, helping during all these years to achieve the boom that is currently being experienced.
