• The club believes that, with the proposed measures, it is completely safe to attend a football stadium
• Almost 13,000 spectators could attend the games, with the possibility of increasing to full capacity in a few weeks
• There will be rotations between season-ticket holders, without affecting the compensation offered so far

RCD Espanyol de Barcelona has presented the protocol to allow the public to return to stadiums to the Government of Catalonia, the Government Delegation in Catalonia, the Higher Sports Council and LaLiga.

With the protocol presented, which limits attendance to 1/3 of the RCDE Stadium capacity, the club understands that safety and compliance with all the protocols established by the health authorities is absolutely guaranteed. The protocol, if approved, establishes a capacity of some 13,000 season-ticket holders, who would access the premises through a rotation system. The club is working on other scenarios that also guarantee health security and that would allow for an increase in this level of attendance. This return of the fans to our stadium would be carried out without affecting the compensation that the club has so far offered to its members and season-ticket holders.

RCD Espanyol understands that with the absence of an audience in the stadiums, the integrity of the competition is not respected, because football does not make sense without fans. The absence of an audience represents a clear competitive disadvantage, because their presence is an essential part of the sport.

With the health situation in the country returning to normal, and with the regularisation of the health phases in all of Spain's autonomous communities, football cannot be left out of society's controlled and safe return to usual activity.
