Miranda: "We are really looking forward to competing again"
RCD Espanyol Femenino are away to Deportiva la Coruña this weekend
RCD Espanyol Femenino team return to action this Saturday after a two-week break due to international fixtures, and Carol Miranda's side visit Deportivo de la Coruña at the Ciudad Deportiva de Abegondo at midday. The opposition are direct rivals in the fight for the top positions in the standings.
“These two weeks have been good for us to recharge our batteries and disconnect from the competition. We are really looking forward to competing again after the break,” commented the coach.
"It's an important game, because they are one of the teams against whom we are fighting for our position in the table. It's a game that the players like to take part in because of the location, the opposition and because there are three points at stake."
Talking about Deportivo de la Coruña, she explained that their playing style is similar to that of Espanyol.
“They like to play out from the back and also have individual players with a lot of quality. I am sure that it will be a nice game to watch for the spectators and that it will be very competitive. I'm certain it's going to be a good show and we want to go there and try to take the three points," she emphasised.
