Matías Vargas, new perico signing!
The RCD Espanyol of Barcelona incorporates the talented Argentine footballer
Matías Ezequiel Vargas (08-05-1997, Salta, Argentina) is already a new player for RCD Espanyol in Barcelona until 30th June 2024 after the agreement reached between the Catalan club, Velez Sarsfield and the footballer himself. The white and blue clue will pay 10.5 million euros for the transfer and the striker will have a termination clause of 50 million euros.
Vargas is a skilful striker, with good manners and good ball treatment. Despite being only 22 years old, he has already played 83 official matches with Velez where he has scored 17 goals and has distributed 15 assists. In addition, he has also made his debut with the Argentinean national team in a match in which the Albiceleste defeated Guatemala 0-3.
Once he passes the medical tests in the Corachán Clinic and signs his new contract, the player will travel to Navata to join David Gallego's team in TorreMirona. It will be presented to the media accredited by the club next Wednesday at 17.00h in the Auditorium Juan Segura Palomares of the RCDE Stadium.
