Luis Blanco: "El Prat's need for points makes them more dangerous"
The RCD Espanyol B coach expects a battle at the CE Dani Jarque this Saturday
RCD Espanyol B are targetting a win this Saturday against AE Prat, in their 6pm CET kickoff at the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque.
Despite being up against a team from the lower reaches of the table, Luis Blanco's men are also struggling for consistent results, and the coach emphasised the importance of a win this weekend.
“We have another opportunity at home against demanding opponents, who have been showing how tough they are in recent seasons. El Prat always make things difficult and their need for points makes them more dangerous," he warned.
"This is just like any other match in the competition: The division is very demanding and this game is not going to be any less tough."
Blanco highlighted that El Prat “have many different options and play well with the ball. They have game-changers in attack, transition well and have always been difficult opponents for us; they are very competitive. They have many arguments for being able to make things difficult for us. We know that if we maintain our level and play at a high pace, we will be closer to winning the match."
Lastly, Blanco stated that “the week has been good. We had a good feeling after the game against very difficult opponents. There were many chances for both teams and in the second half we took a step forward. We did enough to have taken the three points and the point could be considered positive if we win this Saturday."
