Joselu joins RCD Espanyol

The striker arrives after his best goalscoring season in the top flight

Espanyol's second signing for the 2022/23 season, joining on a free transfer. The striker has put pen to paper on a three year deal with Los Pericos.

Born in Stuttgart in 1990, the player featured in the youth systems at Celta Vigo and Real Madrid. His senior career has included two games for Real Madrid -in which he scored both times- and experience in the Bundesliga (with Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover 96), the Premier League (for Stoke City and Newcastle) and LaLiga (Celta Vigo, Deportivo la Coruña and Deportivo Alavés).

Last season, he had his best ever Primera División campaign in front of goal, and was one of the top Spanish marksmen in the league.

The new Espanyol player has already passed a medical examination at the Corachán Clinic, and will be presented on Monday at the Juan Segura Palomares Auditorium of the RCDE Stadium.
