RCD Espanyol celebrates "Dia de Sant Jordi" with a stand in the heart of Barcelona
RCD Espanyol is celebrating St. George’s Day (Dia de Sant Jordi) in a day full of symbolism and strong values that pericos and pericas align with.
The Club’s stand on the bustling Rambla de Catalunya in the heart of Barcelona has brought thousands of fans, members and other visitors to receive special blue roses, browse Espanyol books and meet some special guests.
One of the highlights came with the arrival of men’s and women’s first team players to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures. This included men’s head coach Manolo González, men’s first team players Sergi Gómez, captain, Joan García and Keita Balde, and women’s first team players Lice Chamorro, Júlia Guerra, Carol Marín, Lucía Vallejo, Aina Durán, Ángeles and María Barquero.
Also present at the stand was CEO of RCD Espanyol, Mao Ye Wu, sporting director, Fran Garagarza, advisor, Rafa Marañón, sporting institutional relations delegate, Joan Capdevila, women’s football director, Dolors Ribalta, president of the RCD Espanyol Foundation, Antoni Fernández Teixidó, president of the FCPE, Ton Roig, & ambassadors Toni Blanch and Raúl Longhi. Former players Josep Samper and Alberto Lopo also stopped by to say hello and enjoy a good time with fellow Espanyol fans.
