The midfielder becomes the eighth signing of the season
David López Silva (San Cugat del Vallés, 1989) is the eighth signing of Espanyol’s first team for the season 2016-17. The Catalan midfielder returns home after leaving two years ago towards Napoles. RCD Espanyol have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player in the last hours. The Catalan player, who has already passed the medical examination, has signed for the next four seasons up to June 2020 with the possibility of a fifth season contract extension.
David Lopez is a player made footballer in the Academy of Espanyol, who came from CF Damm and highlighted as a complete and versatile midfielder in our youth teams. David López continued to grow as a footballer when he played on loan for Terrassa FC and CD Leganés. After, he played for SD Huesca where he had a very remarkable season. Espanyol bought his rights to return to the discipline of the first white and blue team where he established himself as elite player. Now, the defensive midfielder of Sant Cugat returns home at age 26 to join the renewed and exciting project.
The presentation of the player will be this Monday at 1pm in the Auditorium of the RCDE Stadium, with access restricted to media accredited by the club media department. From 1:15 p.m. fans, that will enter through the gate 21 of the stadium, will greet the new parakeet player, set to pitch to take the first photographs.
