The president of the club is persuaded in the skills of the Club's professionals of and explains the reason for the last decisions
RCD Espanyol has presented the new executive structure of the club that has begun to be implemented with the arrival of the new sports general director, Óscar Perarnau. The Club's President, Chen Yansheng, explained that these changes have been made to "strengthen the structure of the entity". The president has remarked "that we give importance to local value, but we want Espanyol to be an international club. I have always worked with local professionals and this change is to take a step further in this regard".
"The executive commission and council supervision has been created to positively impact on the day-to-day of Espanyol and to make the best model of club possible to continue growing. We can define it as a reduced version of the Board of Directors. We think it is the best structure we can design for the club. I had this schedule set up before the season started, but the changes are not made from day-to-day. We think now is the right time".
Chen Yansheng has made it clear that Rastar Group has "total confidence in the professionals who are running the club these days." In this sense, he has personified the work of the CEO, Ramon Robert: "We want to thank you for the work you have done. His dedication is highly valued."
To conclude, the president, who has recognized that football is an "emotional" sector and that employs many hours in the management of the club, has positively valued the season. "We have remarkably finished the season in every way (sports, social, commercial). We have reached the goals and for next season we expect a gradual improvement. The goal is to go one step further each time and get more and better results".
