César Montes joins RCD Espanyol

The centre back signs through to 2028

RCD Espanyol and CF Monterrey have agreed the signing of defender César Montes, through until June 30th, 2028.

Montes, who recently played for Mexico in the World Cup in Qatar, is one of the emerging talents from the country. The central defender has played 44 internation games at senior level since he made his debut, aged 20, in 2017. He arrives at Espanyol with 265 games, 13 goals and ten assists at club level to his name.

Montes will be presented officially on Thursday, December 29th at 1:15pm at the RCDE Stadium.
