2-0 loss away to Granada
A brace from Naima sends RCD Espanyol Femení home empty handed
RCD Espanyol Femení were unable to take the three points against Granada, losing 2-0 on the road despite controlling the game and enjoying several clear chances to score.
The first half began with a header from Cristina Baudet that was saved by Granada goalkeeper Andrea Romero, setting the tone for the opening stanza. Natalia was next to have an effort, with a long shot off a solo move that was also kept out. Before the break, Judith Pablos struck just wide, but the score remained goalless at the interval.
The second half began in much the same way, with Carol coming close with a hit from distace. However it was Granada, who had barely broken into the RCD Espanyol area beforehand, who opened the scoring in the 67th minute thanks to Naima.
In the 78th minute, Naima scored her and Granada's second, and whilst RCD Espanyol went on the attack in search of a point, luck was not on their side and they suffered their first away defeat of the campaign.
