0-2: Back-to-back wins
RCD Espanyol Femení triumph away to Rayo Vallecano Femenino
RCD Espanyol Femení took all three points against Rayo Femenino in their Sunday encounter with a 2-0 win.
Espanyol were strong in the early stages of the game, enjoying three clear early chances, one of them a long range effort that was difficult for the goalkeeper to eventually keep out.
The reward eventually came after half an hour of play. Carol Marín took advantage of a loose ball in the opposition's six yard box to snatch the lead for the visitors.
Carol had another chance on 34 minutes, set up by Luzu, but was unable to finish the move. In the second half, things were more comfortable for the team and they adopted a more conservative strategy, with sporadic approaches on Rayo's goal.
Finally Daniela Caracas killed the game off in stoppage time with a powerful low shot, unstoppable for goalkeeper Murga. Carol Miranda's team now sit on 26 points, their latest victory bringing them that bit closer to the playoff spots.
