0-0: Goalless stalemate at the Dani Jarque
RCD Espanyol B earn a point in their latest league fixture against AE Prat
RCD Espanyol B had the better of the chances in their match against AE Prat, but were held to a 0-0 stalemate in their league contest on Saturday.
The first half started at a high pace, but play soon settled down and the game turned into a cagey affair. The best chance of the period was for Espanyol, when a cross from Luca Koleosho was met by Juan Camilo Becerra with a finish over the crossbar.
In the second half, Espanyol improved, but found it difficult to generate scoring chances. The clearest of those that they had also fell to Becerra, but his effort was deflected out for a corner.
A penalty appeal for handball was waved away by the referee, leading into an intense closing few minutes of the game, but there was no change on the scoresheet and RCD Espanyol B had to settle for a goalless draw at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque.
