“Supporters are essential”
Burgui said that the team has to think in the next match against Sporting de Gijón
Espanyol won on Saturday a very important match after two months. The white and blue team defeated Deportivo de la Coruña with the help of the supporters that were fundamental to obtain the victory. “For us the supporters are essential, they are our main strength, they push us and we try to give everything for them”, he said.
Burgui said that “the team has been working hard during the last weeks. Against Valencia we improved and we deserved more. On Saturday we won the three points and we are very happy because we wanted to give joy to our supporters. Now we have to try to carry on against Sporting”.
The striker also said that “it was really exciting to be acclaimed by the pericos”. “I hope we start a good spell of results. This Saturday we are playing against Gijón that is a direct rival and we have to try to win”.
