“I would like to finish my career playing for Espanyol”
Víctor Sánchez has renewed his contract with the club until 2021
Víctor Sánchez and RCD Espanyol have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract until 2021. The midfielder said that he is very happy and that he hopes to finish his career playing for the blue and white team.
“I am very happy with this agreement. I want to thank all my teammates, the club workers and the staff all the things they do for me. It was what we were looking for and we have reached it. We weren’t in a hurry because I had contract until 2018. In a negotiation each part tries to get the most. Finally we have reached an agreement. I imagine myself finishing my career here. If I renew it is because I am very happy. I feel very well liked, appreciated and I hope I can be a lot of years here”, he said.
Víctor Sánchez said that “you never know what can happen. All the managers have counted with me and have given me their confidence. Being an important player makes me want to be here many more years. It is very difficult to talk about goals because it is difficult to know if you are going to be able to achieve them. There are teams that do good signings, there are injuries, good spell of results... What I can say is that we are doing a great job to be in a comfortable situation in the next years and try to fight for Europe”.
